what are destiny cards?

destiny cards is an ancient metaphysical system that uses the 52-deck of playing cards to help us understand the real patterns shaping our lives. it’s deep. it’s layered. it’s not simple — but it’s honest. the cards give language to things you’ve been feeling your whole life.

each card has its own energy, its own lessons, its own way of showing you who you are and what you’re here to grow through. when you start working with the cards, you begin to see your life with more clarity — the themes that keep showing up, the relationships that stretch you, the seasons your soul is moving through.

for me, cardology is about alignment. it’s about telling the truth of your life. it’s not about predicting anything — it’s about understanding the blueprint you came in with and learning how to walk with it instead of against it.

when you sit with the cards, they reveal your strengths, your blindspots, your purpose, and the parts of yourself that are asking to be reclaimed. if you’re in a transition, a deep questioning, or just ready to understand yourself on a more honest level, the cards will meet you there.

this work is transformational. it opens you up to who you actually are — not who you were taught to be.

what is my card?

use the chart below to locate your birth card. start by finding the day of the month on the left side of the table. for example, if your birthday is on the 15th, locate "15" on that side. then, move across the top of the table to find the month in which you were born; the months will be labeled clearly (e.g., jan, feb, etc.). the intersection of your selected day and month will reveal your birth card. take note of the card shown at that intersection, it represents your unique card in cardology. this card rules the day. once you have your card, explore its meaning and significance to gain insights into your personality, life themes, and potential challenges through a reading with eshii. this is not a requirement. if you have any questions or need further assistance in interpreting your card, book your reading today.

what is a birth card?

a birth card is a unique card derived from your birth date in cardology, serving as a symbolic representation of your personality, life themes, and potential challenges. each person has one or two birth cards based on the day and month they were born, derived from a standard deck of playing cards.

your birth card is one of the key cards in your life path, providing insights into your innate qualities, strengths, and weaknesses. it helps you understand your life’s purpose and the lessons you are meant to learn. by exploring your birth card, you can gain valuable guidance on navigating your journey, making informed decisions, and aligning with your true self.

understanding your birth card offers clarity on your relationships, career choices, and personal growth. it is a powerful tool for self-discovery, allowing you to embrace your unique path. remember, your birth card is just the beginning; there are many more cards to explore that will further illuminate your life's journey.

the cards &

our calendar

the connection between a standard deck of playing cards & the modern calendar is no coincidence—these cards hold ancient wisdom that mirrors the cycles of time and life. here's how they align:

  • 52 cards in a deck = 52 weeks in a year

just like the 52 weeks that make up a full year, the deck holds the same number of cards, representing the rhythm and flow of time as we experience it. each card holds its own energy for each week, guiding us through the different phases and experiences that shape our journey.

  • 4 suits = 4 seasons

the four suits—hearts (♥), clubs (♣), diamonds (♦), and spades (♠)—correspond with the four seasons: spring, summer, fall, and winter. each suit carries the energy of its season, with hearts representing the renewal of spring, clubs reflecting the growth of summer, diamonds symbolizing the harvest of fall, and spades representing the introspection and transformation of winter.

  • 12 court cards = 12 months

the kings, queens, and jacks of each suit—known as the court cards—align with the 12 months of the year. these royal figures represent archetypal energies that guide us through the different phases and themes of each month, showing us how to lead and learn throughout the year.

  • 13 suits = 13 full moon cycles

each suit has 13 cards, which correspond with the 13 full moons that occur in a year. the full moon represents a time of culmination, insight, and completion, just like the energies of the 13 cards in each suit. the lunar cycles, like the cards, offer us moments to reflect, grow, and release.

  • red and black = day and night

the two colors of the deck—red (♥ and ♦) and black (♣ and ♠)—symbolize the balance between day and night, the light and dark forces that exist in nature and in our lives. it’s a reminder that both are necessary for balance and growth.

  • 365 pips (small symbols) = 365 days of the year

if you add up the number of symbols on the number cards, it equals 365, the number of days in a year. this subtle detail ties the cards even more closely to the calendar and reminds us of the continuous cycles we move through each year.

  • joker(s) = leap year

some decks include one or two jokers, which can be seen as representing the leap year. it’s a reminder that life doesn’t always follow strict patterns—there are always wildcards, unexpected events that come in to shift our reality and shake things up.
